What Technology Do Agents Get at Real? (2026)

by Amanda Zito

What technology do agents get at Real? Real agents get reZEN, a proprietary end-to-end platform for transactions, commissions, and compliance, plus Leo CoPilot (AI assistant), HeyLeo (AI home search), Leo AiRM (AI client concierge), and Real Wallet — all included, with no separate tech fee.

The Difference Isn't the Tool List. It's the Plumbing.

Every brokerage has a technology page. Most of them are a list of logos — a CRM from one vendor, transaction management from another, e-signature from a third, and a "partnership" with a marketing platform. Four logins, four dashboards, and data that never quite talks to itself.

Real took a different route: it built the core platform in-house and connected everything else to it. That's an architectural decision, not a marketing one, and it's the reason the tools behave differently in daily use. Your commission data, your compliance status, and your client conversations all live in the same system, which is what makes the AI layer on top actually useful instead of decorative.

I run my business across two very different markets — the Inland Empire in Southern California and the Lake Travis area outside Austin, Texas. Different MLSs, different contracts, different disclosure rules. Here's what I actually use, and what it does.

reZEN: The Foundation

reZEN is Real's proprietary transaction management and back-office platform, and it's the hub everything else plugs into. It handles:

  • Transaction files, documents, and broker review
  • Commission disbursement and payout tracking
  • Cap progress, splits, and fee visibility in real time
  • Revenue share and stock award dashboards
  • Team structures and configurable splits for ProTeams

The efficiency numbers are the part most agents underestimate. According to Inman's reporting on Real's technology suite, reZEN lets Real operate with roughly one full-time brokerage employee per 94 agents — compared with about one per 45 at its nearest public competitor. That efficiency is what funds the rest of the stack instead of a desk fee.

For a Riverside County agent juggling a Corona listing and an Eastvale escrow at the same time, the practical version is simpler: one dashboard, on your phone, that tells you exactly where every deal stands.

Leo CoPilot: The AI Assistant That Knows Your Deals

Leo CoPilot launched in 2023 as the industry's first generative AI assistant built inside a brokerage platform. It isn't a generic chatbot with a real estate skin — it pulls from your reZEN data.

What agents use it for most:

  • Compliance questions, answered for the state you're licensed in. California disclosure rules and Texas promulgated forms are not the same conversation, and Leo knows which one you're in.
  • Document review before a file hits your broker's desk, which cuts the back-and-forth on corrections.
  • Commission breakdowns after a close, itemized in seconds.
  • Business questions about caps, fees, revenue share, and equity.

In late 2025, Real added voice-first capabilities to Leo, which matters more than it sounds. A lot of this job happens in the car between showings in Temecula or on the way out to Hudson Bend. Being able to ask a compliance question out loud and get a broker-validated answer is a real time-saver. Leo also escalates to a human broker when it detects you're stuck — it's not a wall between you and support.

HeyLeo: AI Home Search for Your Clients

HeyLeo is the consumer-facing side, launched in beta at Real's RISE 2025 conference. Instead of making buyers wrestle with search filters, it lets them search conversationally — by voice or by chat — and it answers the research questions buyers actually have, from flooring comparisons to what a pool really costs to maintain.

The part that matters for agents: HeyLeo is built on reZEN, so buyer activity routes back to you. Your client gets a 24/7 concierge; you get visibility into what they're looking at. It's powered by direct MLS feeds in key markets, and it rolled out in beta across 20 states with wider expansion through 2026.

Leo AiRM: The Client Concierge in Your Pocket

AiRM is Real's newer AI relationship manager — a unified client inbox and CRM in one mobile app. Every conversation in one thread, searchable, with an AI teammate that keeps conversations moving when you're showing property or asleep: qualifying leads, answering routine questions, and scheduling next steps.

It's still maturing, and I'd tell any agent that honestly. But the premise is right. Most of us lose deals not to competitors but to a text we didn't answer for nine hours.

Real Wallet: The Money Side

Real Wallet isn't a "tech tool" in the traditional sense — it's a financial platform wired into your reZEN dashboard. It includes a business checking account built for agents, near-immediate access to commissions after closing, a debit card that earns reward points, and a rewards structure that can offset brokerage fees. Agents also get access to capital products and a consolidated view of payouts, fees, and retirement contributions.

If you've ever waited on a commission check while a marketing invoice came due, you understand why this exists.

Ancillary Services: One Real Title and One Real Mortgage

Real also runs in-house title and mortgage services. For clients, that means fewer handoffs between separate companies. For agents, it means the transaction stays in one ecosystem instead of getting relayed by email between four vendors.

What About the RE/MAX Acquisition?

Fair question, and it's the one agents ask me most in 2026. Real announced an approximately $880 million acquisition of RE/MAX, with the combined company expected to close in the second half of 2026 and continue trading under REAX. The strategic logic is straightforward: RE/MAX brings brand and global distribution; Real brings the platform. Real's tech stack — reZEN, Leo CoPilot, HeyLeo, AiRM, and Real Wallet — is what gets deployed across the combined network.

For agents already at Real, the day-to-day tools don't change. If anything, a much larger user base tends to accelerate the development roadmap.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Real charge a monthly technology fee? Real's model doesn't include monthly desk fees or franchise fees, and the core platform — reZEN, Leo, and the agent dashboard — comes with your membership. There are transaction-based fees and an annual cap, so ask for the current fee schedule in writing before you make a decision.

Do I have to give up my current CRM if I join Real? No. reZEN is the transaction and business hub, and AiRM handles client communication, but plenty of Real agents keep the CRM and marketing tools they already like. The stack is designed to be the foundation, not a cage.

Is the technology the same in California and Texas? Yes — same platform, same tools. The difference is that Leo's compliance guidance is state-aware, so an agent working San Bernardino County contracts and an agent working Travis County contracts each get answers relevant to their own forms and rules.

Thinking about what a move would look like for your business?

I'm licensed and actively producing in both Southern California's Inland Empire and the Lake Travis area of Central Texas, and I use this stack every single day — including the parts that are still rough. If you want an unfiltered walkthrough of the technology, the fee structure, and whether the model actually fits how you work, schedule a private consultation. No pitch deck, no pressure.
